Hi Eric,
whats the HealthExcel position on the clinical testing methods based on urinalysis (specific gravity, pH, chemical panel, urochrome), saliva pH, blood glucose, respiration rate, breath hold capacity, and supine / standing pulse changes, used by Guy Schenker and Harold Kristal to determine Acid/Alkali, Electrolyte, Catabolic/Anabolic imbalances?
Are these kind of tests used in the Comprehensive HealthExcel MT program?

The Comprehensive Metabolic Typing® program tests basal temperature, oral temperature, ABO blood type, pupil size, "test" menus with DCR's, circadian tests (reagent strips, pH test strips, saliva pH, urine pH, urine specific gravity), glucose challenge test, postassium challenge test, and the advanced Metabolic Typing® test.

Great stuff. Thanks for clearing that up Eric!
I've been reading the Nutri-Spec newsletters recently and some of the results Schenker's clients have gotten are remarkable. There is a Nutri-Spec practitioner not too far from me who is going to give me some info on how he works and his costs, but TBH i would rather stick with the HealthExcel system because it has a broader scope, and also a good working relationship with you as my advisor Eric.
On the HealthExcel site, wheni try and go to details on the Comprehensive programe, it fails to load the page. I presume it is being updated or something, perhaps in light of the new FHC's ...?
I am thinking of getting the Comprehensive test done next in a few months, as i would like to know about how more of the other FHC's relate to me. Can you give me any info on how i can do this Eric? Of course, i'd rather have you do it, but you're in the US, and i'm in the UK (South London)!

Eric, i was wondering, do you know if on the questionnaire used for the Comprehensive programme, they use Dr William Kelley's original full set of questionnare questions? (with about 3500 questions). There are some 3rd party sites that seem to suggest so, like here: www.frot.co.nz/dietnet/reviews/metabolic_typing.htm

I am not sure how much of this I can divulge on a public forum; not to mention that I am not certified to distribute the Comprehensive program. Actually, talked to Bill about this and HealthExcel is revamping the Comprehensive Program. I will be sure to keep everyone posted when I know more; but one of the prerequisites is to have worked with so many clients on the Advanced Metabolic Typing® test first.

If anyone's interested, i found this video which explains the basic premise behind the acid / alkali testing . The company it relates to use Nutri-Spec and Dr Revici's clinical stuff to determine metabolic imbalances. Becaue HealthExcel also use the same method as Nutri-Spec to determine acid / alkali imbalances, i think this video would therefore also relate to the HealthExcel method as well. Basically, my take-home message was that different people can be metabolically 'OK' at different levels of acidity and alkalinity in their body if their respiratory rate is within normal parameters. Its only when pH levels AND respiratory rate are abnormal is there generally an acidity / alkalinity issue. This site also goes into it a bit more www.royalrife.com/hbal.html
