Clusters are where you rep out with a given weight until you are 1-2 reps shy of technical failure (i.e where your form deteriorates significantly), you rest for 30 secs or so, then again do as many reps as you can until a rep or so short of technical failure, and repeat. The idea is to only allow enough rest so that you can grind out a few more good reps without having complete rest periods, pushing your nervous output to the muscles to its limit

Yeah that sounds pretty similar, you'd just substitute "technical failure" for "brainz blown out"
