Isn't 420@165 around/above the current sub-junior world record? How close is that to the junior records (I presume your talking under 23's)?
I would let the boy go, if his upper back wants to round and he can effectively shorten the back lever by rounding his thoracic (read; not his lower back) let him. For reference I have a 180kg clean deadlift (back flat, no belt) and my powerlifting deadlift is well over 100kg more (same stance as well). Sometimes arched back just doesn't work for lifters....
However, I'm not an equipped lifter so take that in to consideration, I have no idea how rounding the upper back would effect the line of pull in an equipped sumo. Post some limit deadlifts up so we can help more.

I think your pull looks fine Joel. I presume your young lad has problems locking out 90% + ? This will probably get worse in a suit when you can lift more than your raw max off the floor but it looks like thats going to be a very tough position to finish a suited sumo from. My advice may well be useless as i am a stumpy little T-rex with short arms and one of the worst deadlifters ever

He needs to build up his glutes and hamstrings to the point where he has complete and total confidence in their ability to break the weight from the floor. Take a look here and note the differences: Now, point out the differences... In regards to your videos, I don't see anything that causes me to raise a red flag, per se. However, if you don't feel that you are in your "sweet spot" then my suggestion to you would be to try moving your feet in a bit and see what happens. If you watch any of my deadlift videos from the front (there are a few that were recently posted in my training log from my skills eval) you will see how close my leg bones are to making a right angle at the knee joint. Just something to think about and maybe try...
