Dave or Eric I have completed one 13 week equiped cycle and was happy with the results. I am now on the 3rd week of my 2nd 13 week cycle. Last cycle around week 7 or 8 my hips started to really bother me, I had to let off a little and by the end of the competition period I was okay to squat in gear and did well. I am on my 3rd week and I am starting to feel my hips starting to act up again. I walk on days off and foam roll my hips. I am wondering if I should lower the volume in the squats. I have trained for over 10 years and never had this problem, nor have I ever done this much squatting. I am happy with the volume in the bench and deadlift I am thinking that the squating is too much joint and tendon wise.

Your body will adapt, keep in mind this is towards the end of the prep cycle everything is going to hurt. You are working off more accurate maxes this time around. In addition, your body is being taken right to the edge of overtraining. If it's too much, you can lower the bar weight by 5% until your body adapts. On a side note I am working on a reduced volume version of this program but I do not know if it will produce strength gains yet, I will know more in July after testing is complete.
