i am already doing a carb cycling diet. this morning i weigh about 195 & i would like to drop til 185 to dehydrate at 181 in a 2 hour weigh in for the next june 13th...
i know that it will affected all my lift especially the BP... so in the next week if i can run the sheiko with my 1RM % at 198BW...do i drop them ?? Or doing less set or Rep??Whats the best to do?
THANKS JOEL BOULIANNE

How lean are you currently? It won't necessarily effect your lifts. When I started Sheiko I went from 190 to 170lbs and got stronger... if its just fat you're taking off don't worry.

Continue to pay particular attention to your perceived bar speed and ability to recover. When you feel undoubtedly that one or both have been impacted (this may or MAY NOT happen) then begin to drop your maxes in 10 pound increments.

I have noticed that simply going from a Westside template to Sheiko has resulted in considerable fat loss. I used to be just over 75kg, and after 12 weeks on Sheiko i've dropped down to 73.2kg! I'm eating about the same calorific intake (although i have switched to a metabolic typing approach recently as well), and i've been told a number of times that i dont appear to have lost any muscle. In fact my legs have grown by a couple of inches diameter. And i havent even added in any proper GPP yet!

interesting. I switched from westside to sheiko as well and have gone from 126kg to 122kg, although my chest and thighs have both increased in size. I started metabolic typing diet about 4 weeks ago and now my main issue is holding weight. As an equipped lifter changes in body weight change the way equipment works. I would like to be 125-127, but I struggling to keep weight on.

It has been the complete opposite experience for me. I have gained approx. 7-8 kgs since starting Sheiko in September 2008. However, I am also new to powerlifting. I have noticed that my weight is at it's highest in the prep phases then I drop 1-1.5kgs closer to my comps. I have gained some bodyfat, but all other body parts have grown also.

i have already done 20 days of dieting...my body Weight was at 202...this morning i weigh 190...so i lost 12 pounds in 20 days... on march 26th my Body Fat was 13% yesterday my Bodyfat was 9% i kept all the percentage of my best Contest PR & i only failed a set one time...it was on last monday when i did geared Squat with old suit bottom & no wraps 520pounds 2X2 @ 85% ... on the first set i grinded the second reps but in the second set i put wraps to make it...one thing sure, my old suit is extremely loose so in a tight suit it will be a joke... My bench is stil very high, and im very surprised of that My deadlift is still very high too! & i think that im more explosive from the floor too... so, i must drop from 6-7 pounds ... my next meet is on june 13th, so its not a problem...i will look like a bodybuilder in few weeks!!!

It is interesting to follow your odyssey. Please keep us posted. Now if anyone wants to know if cutting weight while maintaining strength on Sheiko programming is possible, we can tell them "Yes" and point to this thread!
