What is your current rating?
Have you run any Sheiko routines before?
Chances are you are going to be beat down to death after 5 weeks and will probably need a peaking program to realise any strength gains you have made.

I don't know what my current rating is. I have never done anything like Sheiko before. I just love training a lot. I don't mind running a peaking program after the CMS. It will make a good change i'd imagine.

Okay, so i´ve been messing around with Sheiko for a while now and i´m looking forward to Bates 13 weeks program BUT due to other obligations (2 kids, 4 dogs and a job that takes up a lot of my time) i know i´m probably going to have to make adjustment here and there by cutting of a set or three of the sublementals or doing the bench portion on, say, monday night and the squat portion tuesday morning, you all get the picture, and we´ll see if i make any progress, if not then maybe this kind of training is not for me... Any and all comments will be greatly valued. Contact me via email. I might have something that takes less time to complete and still get the results your looking for. Give me your current lifts too. Dave I'd like to see this as well if possible. My current lifts are roughly bench-225, squat-255, and deadlift-315. Thanks in advance, edit: i just found it in the 13wk program thread. thanks

CMS would definitely not be recommended for you unless you of a very light bodyweight. What is your bodyweight? Anyway, sometimes you need to find things your self. What CMS routine are you running? A CMS peaking program is the second half of this: www.elitefts.com/sheiko/Sheikotrcomp.htmThis is the rated lifter peak: www.elitefts.com/sheiko/Sheiko32.htm

Hi Joel. Thanks for the feedback. No offence taken. I weigh 87kg (192lbs) I know you are right. I really do. I just want to complete this 5 week experiment to kind of 'see for myself', if you know what I mean. I have always had a capacity for a lot of work. In my rowing days, I used to row 15k per day, every day. In my boxing days, I used to train twice per day, 6 days per week. I never drink alcohol, I am almost always in bed before midnight, I eat relatively well and I have an easy, stress free job. I actually train at work while I am working. The recent power lifting programs I have tried have seemed like too little work for me. I wanted a month or so of kicking my own arse, to see if my capacity for work translates to lifting as well. We will all find out in a few weeks time I suppose. The CMS I am doing is here www.ironsport.dk/excel/Sheiko_all_programs.xlsAgain, thanks for the feedback. Keep it coming. It’s really appreciated. John

I had my meet today after my second 12 week sheiko block. I weighed in at 164 and competed raw, knee sleeves and a belt. I went 8 for 9 ending with 420-290-590. The squat was a 15lb pr and this was my first 1300lb total. The bench went ok and I feel if I up the %'s a bit with more tricep work I'll get back to 300. The dead wasn't as bad as i thought. 590 was solid but 605 was too much. I have to tweak the 12 week program in the dead for sure but the squat was great! I have nationals July 17th and I am hoping to get my dead back on track.

Please help me. When I go to print the 12 week reduced program I can only do so 1 page by pge. resulting in lots of time and watsed pages. I know that when I printed it out last year I did so in its entirety with no breaks. What am I doing wrong or has the download changed?

Hi Mike, When you go to print make sure you select "Entire work book" and that should print all pages and not just the page you are viewing. Hope this helps.

Hi, This message is for Eric or Dave. I was wondering if you have any high intensity/bulgarian style programs that you have seen good gains with.

Indeed they do. My question was more about making steady gains, and if Eric felt like the program was successful.

Dave, I was also wondering if you could help me set up my training. I have recently been following an RTS training program but I would like to get back into sheiko. I have a meet july 11 and then my next meet is Dec 11. I believe that gives me 21 wks from meet to meet. I was planning on running a combination of the raw 13 wk(cutting out a few wks) and the geared 13 wk programs you have posted. I was wondering what wks you feel i should remove from the first 13 wk program, or if you have something better I should run. My current geared maxes(gym) are 700/585/600@230lbs. My current raw maxes are 585/425/600.

Hi everyone. I'm new user here. I have a lot of questions. first of all how do you plan competition period? I read 1-4 chapters of sheiko book. Where can I get it whole? I did my preparatory plan and it works good but I have raw competition in 11 weeks and I want to increase my intensity and weights in the last few weeks. How I.have to do it?
Cheers

A combination that has worked fairly well for some lifters without equipment is #29, #37 and #32. Most guys tell me 16 weeks is too much 12 weeks with a conditioning week is about right. Since we have 16 weeks I think what I would do is The first 5 weeks of the unequipped cycle (1 wk conditioning + the first 4 weeks ) Then I would pick up the equipped cycle starting with week 2 and finish it until the meet <a href="http://sportsupplies.com"><b>Sport training dvd </b></a> i really like this. thank you..
