Hi all,
Running a equipped #37 atm but have recently changed from a single ply fed to a multiply fed. Haven't purchased any multiply gear yet.
Any thoughts or ideas on how to incorporate the multiply gear into the programme? I'm just running with raw numbers for now. On week 4.
Is it worth incorporating the single ply gear into my training in the meantime?
Thanks

Personally, shieko gave me great results with raw lifting. As for single ply (I never used multi-ply gear yet), Shieko is too low intensity to reap benefits. 85% is the heaviest you go with the beginner programs, and this just is not enough to touch in the bench if you have a tight shirt. Keep in mind that you should use a tight shirt occasionally in training if you want to compete in a tight shirt. And you should be touching at least occasionally in training (sport specificity). I would prefer Askold Surovetsy routines for equipped. Maybe you can do Shieko off-season, to build your raw strength and switch to another routine closer to comp, when you start implementing gear and higher loads.

I don't know how popular this will be here but you might want to try using a system designed around double ply lifts, getting better at working into your equipment and pointing out your weak points- such as Westside.
That is what it was designed to do and it does it very well.
