This is primarily a question for Joel! But anyone's opinion is appreciated! Joel I've watched some vids of you on youtube and noticed you competed in the -110kg, -125kg and even in the 125+kg. You looked lean and athletic at 110 but seemed to carry a bit of a gut in the heavier categories. Did you improve your performance points wise when you put on weight? Or did you just increase the weight lifted but not improving on points?

My best ever Wilks score was when I was my heaviest at last year's Nationals. I did 775 @ 134 which is 436 points.
2010 Nationals I did 740 @ 130 and 418 points
2009 Nationals I did 715 @ 126 and 406 poins.
My first competition in 2007 I did 660 @ 110 which was around 388 points.
I'm going down to the 120 class for this year's Nationals, so we'll see how that goes.

Yes very interesting. I'm curious to know how much of that progress was due to bodyweight gain and how much was due to training experience. So the fact that you are going to lose weight again should shed some light on that. Best bet is to lose weight as slowly as you can, to hold onto as much strength as possible. Pls keep us updated.
