Hello, I'm 16 and 165 lbs. I'm currently training for a meet on March 24th. I'm hoping for 400/275/400 raw. After I'm training for usapl nationals (NOT RAW!). I'm hoping for somewhere around 530/350/500. I have enough time to run 29/37/32 up to nationals, but I'm unsure on how to work gear into the equation. I was hoping some of you could enlighten me on how you put gear into these cycles. Thank you.
PS I use a super centurion, Titan velocity, f6, and I have a super katana but I'm unsure if I will use it.
Also, what are the white wraps Russians seem to use on their lighter sets? Have you ever used knee wraps on deadlifts like I've seen some of them do, experiences?

The benching isn't programmed well.

The only time you use your bench shirt (which isn't often) is 70-80%, which in a good bench shirt, is not enough weight to touch. And you can't go 13 weeks without touching a weight to your chest in a shirt and expect to do it in competition.

This is a quote direct from Wade Hooper regarding shirt work and Sheiko.
"The shirt is a little trickier as it is much harder to touch with 80% or less. Sometimes even 85%. Again, I am comfortable with what I am going to wear on the platform, so I don’t need a lot of my reps to touch my chest. I would say maybe only 25 total reps ever touch my chest in the shirt probably less. If it does not touch, I never use a board. I find the using a board gives you an artificial feeling, and you never hit the right groove when it comes time to touch. I usually only put the shirt on once a week and the other bench workouts are raw. I will even change the grip or add chains on the raw day."
We have used some of the benching sessions from #30 and #31 where you work to 90% to good effect before.
