I feel this is a reason for me having lots of problems in my final two years of highschool and the beginning of university... acne, overtired, irratible, etc... Then kinda by happenstance I saw a naturopath and and she recomended diet changes... essentially i can say this is where my interest in nutrition blossomed from, and now im at MT lol. Anyways i did have a reoccurence a year ago because school stress and terrible eating habits, I just wish this was stressed more by average people. I remember forver my dermatoligist, and other doctors, refused to say any of my skin problems were due to food. bahh lol i think this just makes me mad reflecting but thx rob for the article

I used to think candida overgrowth was just due to too much sugar and yeast in the diet, and also consuming certain foods that may have gone off. However, i'm starting to realise that when your immune system is shot (mainly referring to the neuro-endocrine systems here), you are much more prone to getting candida overgrowth from situations that a healthy immune system would normally be able to deal with.
Its worth pointing out that candida is a normal part of a healthy gut flora - its just when it grows out of control that it causes issues. Trying to completely irradicate candida is futile and potentially harmful. The same is true of many strains of e.coli.
