Nothing can be more EXTREME than prepare to a full gear squat with tight wraps, with straps up feeling like a block without blood in the legs...to get under the bar & to walkout a 105% lift in a 3rd attempt in a meet...
i know that the sheiko training is the key to perform but equipped lifters need to get more carryover pssobile in gear ... i think that it is a very important point to discuss...it cool to handle 80-85% lift with loose suit...but whats going on on the meet day in your tight suit! Russian are all extremly technical in gear...particularly in the Squat
1-i would like to know what kind of suit do you prefer for the squat...what tightness, sizing etc..
2-how much revolution can you get out of 2 meters wraps...i know that all the top squatters on finland team in the ipf can be wrapped with 11 revo with tittanium 2m in contest on the 3dr attempt...its completely sick...9 revo is my max...
THANKS FOR YOUR COMMENTS!

Hey Joel... what I've found useful is this...
70-80% - straps down and loose wraps 85% - straps down, tight wraps 90% - straps up, tight wraps
Problem is,if you run #37 you never actually get an 90% work before your still evaluation!
I had an extra week in my last full cycle so I ran the last week of #31 before I started #32 which gave me some 90% work on the squat and deadlift - seemed to work well.

It is a difficult issue Joel(s).
In the past I have followed what JDB outlined above but like he points out that only gives you a couple of reps int full battle gear (straps up).
I wear a 36 cent at 82 (a big 82 an all - usually 84+ by 1st sq) so it's very very tight. Tight suit is great in theory but if you've only had a couple of reps wit straps up it throws my form right off.
I think this time I will take at least a couple of 85% reps with the straps up in the prep cycle, maybe with no wraps so I still get the training effect of the liftin...I think 85% in my comp suit with straps up and wraps would be too easy to make me any stronger.
Of course cycle #99 is designed specifically with these issues in mind eh bagpipe?
