It's amazing how fast the body adapts to eating what it's supposed to have instead of generic "proper eating".
I've been sticking to my MT diet plan about 95% over the past 2 weeks. Some exceptions I'd made were a piece of fried chicken breast, a snack cake, a Reese's cup, coffee, and a couple of hot dogs yesterday. I'm typically not a hot dog eater, but our temple gets pure beef hot dogs for some of our events and it's all that was available yesterday, so I had two.
With the exception of the coffee, EVERYTHING that is a no-no on my MT food list has put me in pain. I mean alien trying to rip through my gut kind of pain. I've been on"clean diets " before then gone off and cheated a little bit, but never had the reactions that I have recently experienced. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. Not even Obama, Biden and Pelosi! Well, maybe Biden.
I'm working on sticking to just the green foods in my diet plan and trying to avoid even the black non-italicized ones. Items in red and items not on the list are as such for good reason and the painful reminders have driven that point home in a most effective way.
I usually have ice cream with a friend every Wednesday, but haven't in 2 weeks. I don't think I'll risk it now. I'll just get creative with ACT slushies or something of the kind.
Fortunately, I'm not so stubborn that it takes repeated incidents for me to learn a lesson. I aim to never again even consider - much less consume - what is not in green on my MT diet plan. I'm not a masochist and the consequences are not the least bit acceptable.
