Hi Eric,
i have been doing the HCL test where i have gradually been increasing the number of HCL tabs i am taking with each meal with the goal of eventually getting a 'burn' in the guts so i know i can pare back by one tablet. I'm now at 5 tablets per meal, and still yet to get the 'burn'. Should i go up to 6? I think i remember reading in the MT paperwork you sent me that i shouldnt go beyond 5.

Hello Rob. Six HCL's per meal (BEFORE the meal) would be the limit. If you hit that mark with no sign of burning, then it really means that you have some work to do in the gut. Don't worry, though. Building health is cumulative. So, go to 6 HCL's before each meal and then stay there until you begin to feel some burning.
Check in with me here on this every week so we can keep on top of it. I want to know the moment there is the slightest change.
I am still waiting for your BioHealth 205 results to come in. Nothing in the mail on Wednesday, and I will be out of town from Friday-Tuesday.

Ok thanks Eric.
I have been taking them immediately before the meal - i.e stick them in my mouth, wash down with a little water, and start eating. Is that the correct way to use them?

Rob: Try taking the HCL's and then wait a few minutes before eating and then see if there is any difference between this way and your "other way". If there is, then this one is a no-brainer. If not, then for you it probably does not matter. It may be a long road for you with the HCL, and your BioHealth 205 does tell me that there are probably some gut issues going on that we will want to address soon. I guess I am trying to say that based on your 205 I am not surprised that the max dose of HCL is what you need right now.

OK, i will try waiting about 5 mins before eating when i take them. I'm currently having to use Solgar Betaine HCL because my Synergistics supps are taking a while to get to me.

Have you had the Ultra Life HCL for your type before? In my experience as an advisor, the difference between Ultra Life and most other brands (because it is geared towards one's type) is night and day. Always try to buy Ultra Life when possible! It really does make a difference.

Yeah i had the UltraLife ones before, but because of availability issues i went through the bottle pretty quick and was left for quite a while with only the Solgar ones available. I am going to try using 3 Ultra Life HCL + 1 other branded HCL / enzyme combo tablet 5 mins before main meals, and 3 Enzigest during the meal and see how that feels.

Sure, I know that we have to deal with logistics and such; but my point is that I have seen a tremendous difference between Ultra Life supplements and other brands. Simply, this is because the Ultra Life ones are made for each type; which makes all the difference.
