Hello Eric,
I followed you on the q+a on Elite for some time and am glad I found you here. Thanks for all your work associated with metabolic typing!
I would consider myself a strong fast oxidizer, and through my metabolic typing diet I have reached what I would assume to be my ideal body weight. However, I would like to put on some additional muscle mass, and have found it difficult to do so. I strongly believe my training is not the issue. Any ideas or suggestions? I vaguely recall you mentioning some time ago that you were trying to gain weight. Perhaps you could give me some things to try? Thanks again.

For me, eat more. The right stuff still, just more of it, you can drink milk w/cream, add more butter etc.

Before I would recommend anything, I will ask if you have taken the Advanced Metabolic Typing (R) test? If you have, then somehow post your complete results (dominance, sub dominance, percentages, adrenal type, etc.) and we will certainly get the ball rolling for you!

Yes, it is Travis Fisher.
Here are my results:
AUTONOMIC: SYMPATHETIC OXIDATIVE: FAST ENDOCRINE: THYROID/PITUITARY "CUSP" DOMINANCE: FAST
38% SYM 33% BAL 28% PARA -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 28% SLOW OX. 23% MIX OX. 47% FAST OX
Hope that helps! Thanks.

Travis:
It really is this simple: take in more calories than you burn.
So, how do you do that-right?
Well, don't fall into the "Elitefts.com" trap of just stuffing your face with anything and everything. That will only lead to disaster. You want to eat more and more of the foods that are right for your type. Perhaps instead of a fist-size portion of meat at each of your meals, you go with 1.5 fist fulls, etc.
Why don't you email me at etalmant@hotmail.com and I will send you a form to fill out. You can then either scan it and email it back to me as an attachment or put it in the mail to me. This form will give us a good idea as to how many calories you need to take in per day, and from that you can easily go up or down;all the while you will want to pull out and fill out your DCR's to ensure that everything is good to go and that your energy is robust, your food cravings are minimal, etc.
