Any new discoveries, prep cycles etc?
I try to find everything I can on Sheiko but come up with some stupid articles not really giving the description of SHeiko training just saying that the training is difficult. I try to read the first 4 chapters of his book and then get stumped by a word and then lose interest.
Anything new on the Sheiko front?
I have ran #29-37-30-40 and I am now on my second go around with #29. #40 was a nightmare. I am really looking to run the CMS prep cycle in the near future.
My squat and bench max have gone up nicely. Before starting sheiko my bench max was 320 and now I can get 3 easy singles in one training session. Squat went up 35lbs after the completion of #30

I think the most discoveries in the western world with this kind of training will be on sites like this where people are experimenting with different things and reporting back. You say #40 kicked your head in...did you gain from it? Ive run #30's and #31;s a few times and had me pants pulled down, now i think if id have done a bit less (RI and volume, i.e. #37 or similar) i would have done better.

I think that I may be doing myself a disservice by not running peaking cycles. I have no meets planned so that is why I went right into #29 after raising my maxes. I assume they did but I did not test with a skills evaluation.

I think Dave has said that the optimal time for a whole cycle is 12ws, so thats 2 prep cycles and 1 peak cycle.
