I've spoke to Joel and he says this is the same for him and Steve...
Does everyone else have all their knocks, aches and pains come out in the last week of a comp cycle (the deload week)?
It seems that as soon as you stop the volume and the heavy stuff all the latent strain catches up...

So true. These are some things that have helped me: knee sleeves, heat rub, anti-inflammatories, epsom salt bath, contrast showers, ice, sled dragging, prehab.

Krill oil and cissus quadralangularis are two supps that have worked wonders for my joints.
Of course, sufficient GPP, stretching, mobility, and water intake also help.
