...are you always surprised by how hard week 2 is?
6 triples at 80% on the squat?
Damn Uncle Boris I'm only 2 weeks out! Take it easy on me! 220 lifts at an average RI of 70%....thats harder than wk 2 of the #31 (230 lifts @ 67%).
Hey Dave - any idea what the thinking behind such a tough week so close to the meet is?

Yep, I've always wondered (and been scared of) that week. Just seems too much too close, but what do I know... I'm sure Boris has his reasons.

Honestly I'm not sure. I always feel it's a delayed reaction from the skills evaluation. For me, everything feels heavy until Friday, the end of wk 3.

I get what you're saying Dave but I actually think that Wk 2 of the #32 would be pretty tough whenever you did it, regardless of the leftover CNS strain from the skills test. Do you think you can still acutally build strength 2 weeks out? Or is it too late and it should all be about deloading? I just got in from the Day 2 session - 5 triples at 80% on the DL...again hardly a light load!

I just finished session three of 32. I must say after the skills test in session two, I was really flat, particularly in my benching. I've run 29/37 the past eight weeks and went 105%/105%/100% in my skills test. Week two of 32 starts this Sunday for me. Hopefully I'm feeling a bit better.

Personally I just go to 95% in my skills tests and save something for the platform, so I dont find the Skills Test that taxing but 105/105/100 % would certainly be tough!

It wasn't that bad as I've put on some weight this training cycle which has helped. I think it will be harder next time and I will be sticking to 95%.
