Anyone ever done 2 meets in 1 week?
I'll be ending 32 in two weeks from tomorrow (for a meet). But there is a meet 7 days after that I want to do as well.

I read powerlifting watch weekly. Thanks for managing it.
I max with wraps, so my "raw" squat is an estimate (i just take 30lbs off for wraps). I'm nearing CMS/MS level (about 40lbs shy) so maybe I just need... more? Dont really wanna change back to the numbers programs though, because I LOVE the bench portion of your program.
I have a skills eval next week and a meet in 5 ... i'll have a better assessment then.

Just wondering if anything new has come out? Im currently on my 2nd cycle of the "new 12wk program" and am receing good results on my bench. Squat isnt budging though. I feel i can handle more lower body volume. Perhaps i'll try Sheiko 40-30-32 next time around

I am currently on Wk10 of Dave Bates new 12Wk test program (just completed skills day last week). Unexpectedly, I have decided I am doing a meet come December 15th. This means I need to ADD 3 WEEKS somewhere.
Should I complete the program, then repeat Wk10-12? Just "go back" to Wk8 and continue and do a skills day again?
Also, the despite using my true 1RM for squats and bench its beginning to get a little easy. Maybe i'm beginning to recover, or maybe I need to up the weight a little....

Question:
For Wk 9 skills eval day, do you really only recommend going to the numbers you suggest? Or CAN we go higher?
I seem to be responding well to the bench volume. Wk8D3 I was able to complete 305x10x2 on bench with only 60 seconds break between sets! And that was using my true 1RM at the beginning of the program

Wait - there are more Sheiko routines than 29-30-31-32-37-39-40-CMS-MS? ?

Dropping in to say i'm currently on Wk6. I'm really liking the bench volume and intensity, though strangely i'm not finding it THAT difficult despite using my true 1RM. Like the pause squats to. I started carb cycling and i'm down 3-4 lbs.

I've had multiple ask me through out the years if ive taken steroids (i haven't).
I cant think of a bigger compliment, albeit unintentional.
Since i'll never be "world-class" I see no point and would imagine taking PED's would take away my sense of accomplishment.

I'm starting this routine today. I recently totaled 1475@245 lbs.
I'm going to carb cycle and keep the rest periods short. Goal is to total 1500 and (hopefully) drop a couple pounds.... i am entirely to fat for 242's.

A friend and I are currently running Smolov. I'm trying to convince him to run Sheiko after (he does 5/3/1, but loves the volume on Smolov). He has only 3 interests in the weightroom....
Squat - Deadlift - Press. He has no interest in Bench (i may be able to convince him to do incline).
So, my question is, what is your opinion on completely substituting Press for Bench Press? Can your shoulders handle this much volume?

The 10x2 and 9x3 on bench interests me alot, esp at the higher intensity. Im currently running Smolov, lots of sets dont scare me one bit.
I may try this once I complete Smolov.

18 weeks is obviously to long for a cycle. I think you have it figured out. 5 weeks prep, 2 weeks comp, then comp. Then 10 or 11 week cycle depending on if you want 1 week deload.

Thanks! Thats what I really like about Sheiko... it really perfects your form. And normally my squat form is pretty good too, i think I'm not sure how 531 will turn out... i dont know much about it. However, I tried Sheiko while cutting and it did NOT work well... As long as I maintain my strength while I cut down to 230 i'll be more than satisfied

37-31-32 skipped the Skills Day to time it right for my meet
previous meet i did was 529/331/562 - 1422 LBS
(this was with knee wraps, and I hit a 350 gym bench)
Set my maxes at 510/350/555
Ended with
518/358/573 - 1449 LBS
Thoughts on Squat:
First time using a monolift and squat bar. Struggled with this. Couldnt find a good spot on my back with the bar. Messed up my foot placement. Though I have an excuse for my squats, i'm not satisfied. For the amount of squatting I did, I feel like I should have been stronger. I'm probably stronger, but we'll never know.
Thoughts on Bench:
No denying i'm stronger on bench. Happy with the results here.
Thoughts on Deadlift.
573 went up faster than my 562 did a few months ago. This is probably because A) we had an Okie bar, and B) i'm a little stronger. No complaints.
Overall, i'm satisfied though. I REALLY want to keep doing Sheiko, but I need to cut weight. Going to to switch to 5/3/1 for 8-10 weeks while I try to cut 15lbs. Then, back to Sheiko. Probably run 29-37-32 again.

I dont have a definitive answer for you; and I would also like to know.
However, based upon my past few cycles I think it it might be good to go by feel. After 29, if you feel strong and the sets are easy, bump up the weights 5lbs

I'm still relatively new to Sheiko, this is only my 3rd cycle. Yes, I did feel quite run down at the end of my cycle; however, I felt that I recovered very quickly. After having saturday, sunday, easy monday workout, and tuesday off I felt mostly recovered.
I'm currently running 37-31-32 and currently on Wk2 of 31.... i feel more fatigued this time around than on my last cycle.

My last Sheiko cycle i did 29-37-31(last 2 weeks) and 32. I hit PRs on skills day, felt great. Felt about the same on meet day honestly.
