 WCPP TEAM FORMAT
« Thread Started on Aug 29, 2009, 11:38am »

I have a couple questions

#1 the most important, How does a team get qualified, I got some good lifters that I think could do well, in some events.

#2 how many people can be on a team, what is the format, Bp only, full power or what? what weight classes for the team event?

Thanks

To qualify for WCPP meets, lifters must meet at least Class I standards as indicated in the Raw Classifications Chart at http://www.rawunitymeet.com/Classifications.html. There are more than enough organizations and meets available for average lifters to chase trophies, personal records and "first place" finishes in one-person classes/divisions.

Through 2010, qualifying lifts and totals will need to be performed in APA, WPA or Raw United meets for consideration. Should we have open Pro-Am events, anyone can enter the amateur divisions to try and qualify by hitting those numbers.

The team events will utilize 5 delegated lifters from any sized team in any format except the Iron Triathlon. Gender and weight classes will be irrelevant because scoring will be based on where the lifters finish in the rotation. This will go for bench press as well as powerlifting.

Thanks for asking these questions. The Q&A will go on the WCPP website soon.
