 Article on Yahoo(Kimbo Slice)
« Thread Started on May 17, 2008, 3:14pm »

Here's a link to an article from Yahoo this morning - http://sports.yahoo.com/mma/news?slug=ki-kimbo051608&prov=yhoo&type=lgns

I know that there are some other MMA fans here and would like to hear anybody else's opinion on Kimbo

Kimbo is junk in my opinion. Yes hes big and strong but he lacks anything other than that and streetfight skills. My guess is he beats Roy Nelson on Wednesday but I dont think he can win the show. I have watched a good deal of his streetfights on youtube. He gets beat by guys that have more than a streetfighting background.

I had mixed opinions going in on the Nelson fight, I would have guessed that by now Kimbo would have been a bit better on the ground - guess not. Looks like he'll get a free pass to come back as an injury replacement in the near future, but if he doesn't drastically improve on the ground very quickly he'll probably lose his next fight as well

I agree with you Jeff. Kimbo has much to learn. Yeah youre right he does get another chance. I was watching wrestling on Spike the other day and there was a commercial for this week and it said Marcus gets hurt and Kimbo wants to step in and replace him. They kinda left it as a cliffhanger if Kimbo would get another chance or not. So Im not sure if he fights again or not. I think all these fights were filmed in June I heard.
Yeah Kimbo has much to learn, and at 35, 36 years old I dont think hes going to learn it.
