Dear European Metabolic Typing Advisors,
On behalf of Signet Diagnostic Corporation and IsoLab, our European lab partner, I am pleased to announce that as of Tuesday, June 9th, IsoLab will begin accepting orders for specimen mailers for MRT testing. Dr. Pasula will be working closely with IsoLab over the next few days to certify them for International MRT testing and to help get them setup to offer their services to European Metabolic Typing Advisors.
Below I've prepared a list of answers to some of the most likely questions you all may have. If there is anything that is not covered, please contact IsoLab directly at the number and/or email address provided below.
One important note about testing capacity: For roughly the first 3 months IsoLab can accommodate only up to 12 MRT tests per day. Therefore it is very important to schedule your tests with the lab to ensure that your submitted tests are run. Tests that are scheduled will have priority over those that are not. Those that are not scheduled may not be able to be run and the sender would incur shipping charges which are substantial. So please be sure to contact IsoLab to schedule your tests.
It is also absolutely essential that instructions for obtaining and mailing samples be followed exactly. Failure to comply to the instructions will render blood samples sent to the lab useless and they will be rejected. Instructions will be provided by IsoLab in each specimen mailer.

How does someone register with IsoLab to get setup as an account and to order mailers?
¨ Call 0048 601 312 673 and speak with Dorota Kurek. She will be your main contact for IsoLab. She will take your information and orders for specimen mailers, as well as schedule your tests. You can also email her at isolab@leap.pl.
What profiles do they offer?
¨ Initially the only profile available is the LEAP-150. In the coming months, once our new instrument is in place we will have more test panels available. I'll be sure to let you all know when they are available.
What is the price of the LEAP-150?
¨ 1110.00 pln (which includes the 22% VAT) + 439.20 pln for shipment (which includes 18% VAT) = approx $469.45 US total. Payment can be made with credit card only either by calling in the cc info or by including it on the test requisition form. These prices, though more than the US prices, have been cut to the bone to make testing as affordable as possible.
¨ SAVE ON SHIPPING: IsoLab has designed its specimen mailer to accommodate up to 4 patients. The shipping charges are per mailer, for up to 4 patients. Therefore, the shipping charges can be divided by the number of tests and savings can be passed on to your clients to lower the overall cost of each test.
How will results be fulfilled?
¨ Results will be sent back to each Metabolic Typing Advisor via email. Your email address will be kept on file when you register with IsoLab.
What languages are results available in?
¨ Results will be in English only
What are the hours of operation/What days are they open to receive specimens?
¨ Hours of operation are from 0900-1800 Monday through Friday and are available to receive specimens Tuesday - Friday (Draw Mon - Thurs).
Does IsoLab have a website?
¨ www.leap.pl but it is in Polish language only.
